Share Your Style #213

Welcome to this week’s Share your Style #213 and we have a little of this and a little of that to share today!

Here is what I shared this week…

I used to write Sunday Sentiments more when I first began blogging so I thought I’d bring that feature back this summer.

Lately I have been watching old shows on Netflix and one of those shows is When Calls the Heart starring Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thatcher (she isn’t married to me, yet… 😉 We are in season 4, Mr. Ethereal and I), so I have noticed that I am using “heart” in my titles more. Something fun for summer!
This post reflects that heart-filled sentiment and is called From the Heart… A Small Summer Home Tour.

Now onto this week’s wonderful features!
Many of you know Pat who writes Bringing French Country Home. She will be taking a bit of a summer break but I wanted to share her Colorado spring garden with you today.

The post she shared last week is called Happy Summer and a Decision. She will be writing once a month from her family’s summer cabin high up in the Colorado mountains. I am sure the scenery will be breathtaking as well as the summer wildflowers so do stop by and put her blog on your summer reading list!   🙂
Katie at Let’s Add Sprinkles shared her trip last summer to Wales and the gorgeous religious pieces in this Norman castle. She also shares a bit of family history, too.

Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home is back sharing her front porch and patio as part of a group patio tour. I love what she has done outside her home! I want this étagere… One like it anyway! 😉

Rita of Panoply shared her new condo home in a post titled Welcome! Our Urban Dwelling Tour. Love this statue which made the trek from their previous home…

Here is Rita’s living room… Sooo inviting I just want to drive over for a visit, don’t you?

Summertime means traveling the country visiting sites, friends and family and one of my favorite things to do is visit antique shops wherever I go ~ and you probably, too! Kathy over at Southern Style Southern Charm shared this wonderful antique store ~
Park West Vintage ~ in her hometown of Marietta, Georgia.

Road trip, anyone??

Honorable Mention

Stefanie of The Style Safari shared her trip to Colmar, France and the city which survived unscathed from WWII is a step-back-in-time with its half-timbered houses and Venice-like canals ~ beautiful and worth a visit!

Jen over at A Fireman’s Wife shared a recipe for homemade lemonade. Delicious and so refreshing as we head into the heat of summertime!

Share Your Style #212

Welcome to this week’s Share your Style #212 and it’s no coincidence I believe that this 212th SYS falls today since the date is June 12th. It is also the anniversary of my father’s passing and always a little rough for me since he died; I miss him a lot.

But we have lots of spring and summer garden posts, an Italian recipe and other fun things which my father was a big fan of! (bad grammar aside…)

I’ll keep this short as I’ve been working away outside and inside this past week and am now fighting poison ivy… ugh! I think I found out what that “plant” is out in the backyard. Guess what grows around and near oak trees…

Here is what I shared this week…

A Quick Coffee Table idea for the 4th of July ~ part of this month’s 10 on the 10th. Stop by and check out all the great ideas!

Share Your Style #211

Welcome to week #210 of Share Your Style and I am
Barbara Chapman your host. School is out for summer and it’s vacation time. Can you believe it’s June already??

With the summer fast upon us, and everyone trying to get projects done before the dog-days come, I have a ton of posts to share with you today! So many were so good!!!

Here is what I shared this week…

This was my first big project here at our new home and the Rock Wall Planter is officially done and ready for planting!  I seriously appreciate any help you can give in promoting this post as it was quite a bit of work all around. Thank you!

I have been sick too for a few days with a flu bug but on Monday I cleaned out our shed and organized it, helped Mr. Ethereal clean and put up some camping gear into the attic over the garage this past weekend (in the 90 degree heat + humidity), and have been organizing in the Craft/Sewing room. It’s coming together!
Now let’s get to this week’s wonderful features!

We are back in the garden with Debbie from Debbie-Dabble visiting her neighbor’s gardens. This hillside is spectacular! Stop over and see what’s blooming out her way in a post named More Spring Blooms and a Surprise.

Rachelle over at My Hubbard Home shares some things she has learned along the way to help us all to successfully prevent pests and disease when growing fruit trees. June is so synonymous with peaches, isn’t it? Delicious!

For anyone new to copying someone else’s photos that you have permission to share: just start from one side and slowly move to the photo’s other edge. This will darken/highlight the photo (watch for miscellaneous things also trying to be “grabbed.”) and then just “control-C” and take to your post and edit it in. Easy once you’ve done it a couple of times!

Welcome to week #208 of Share Your Style and I am
Barbara Chapman your host. It’s a little of this and a little of that this week as I am still out in the garden. I’m in the middle of building the semi-circular garden wall under our master bedroom window, working on designing the new garden gate, and still enjoying the sweetness of Mother’s Day just passed.

I’ll be making up for some short week’s links from the past few weeks when either we were having bad storms or Inlinkz was doing something weird ~ I had switched to asking for permalinks. Does let me know who uses a service to link their posts, though… 😉

I think that may be why it wants me to Accept Your Posts… Will not do THAT again but I do appreciate your permalinks back to Share Your Style, thanks! And I’d love it if you’d follow me here on my blog or on any of my other social media. I appreciate you!

Thelma at Thel’s Kitchen shared her soon-to-be-famous and yummy Cameo Cherry Cupcakes and I just love the sweet candy cameos on top of each one!

Spring Door Decor April Door Basket
I have a thing for front door décor this week as you can tell with it being May Day, May 1st, where traditionally people create small gift baskets to hang on friends’ doorknobs then ring the bell and run away. Such a lovely tradition, don’t you think?

This beautiful door creation is by Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home. She shares how to make this lush spring basket and gives us a great pneumonic to remember how to create a basket or for filling our spring planted pots.

Know you’ll enjoy her post!

Pat at Bringing French Country Home shares her incredible flower garden with us in a spring garden update ~ what she is aspiring to for this year! Tips on mulching in your yard and
flower beds is the hot topic in this post.

Share Your Style #205

Welcome once again to Share Your Style and to week #205… I am Barb Chapman and I am so glad you are
here today. This week I am sharing a look at a tea and tablescape I held for two friends who came to visit
last week on
Maundy Thursday.

Here are friends Laura of Decor to Adore and Cindy of

It’s sooo nice to have blogging friends who live close by!
Hope you have a good group living near you, too.
🙂

This tea included a first look at our home in the mostly put together living room as it looks out towards the backyard.

A second post I shared was a spring basket door hanger as
part of this month’s Pinterest Challenge. I’d love for you to
stop by and check out both of these posts. So much great
door decor has been created all this month’s participants and
by our host Cindy of County Road 407!

Great ideas for you to copy and adapt!

So let’s get to this week’s wonderful features
shall we?!

With Easter and Passion week just last week I believe another look is so appropriate… Therefore a few more Easter and bunny posts will feature this week.

Notre Dame Window by Jeanne Selep

Jeanne at her blog of the same name JeanneSelep.blogspot.com
shared the beautiful rosette window pre-fire which was saved during the fire at Notre Dame this past week.

***

Please pray for all those who have loved and are affected by the terrible fire which happened in this very old and beautiful cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France, won’t you?

Many of you have toured this 850 year old church with its flying buttresses holding up its walls and though I have not, the faith we have, not in those relics and this church (and so many other houses of worship) but the comfort those pieces and places give us…

Notre Dame and the significance it has and has had on our fallen world remind us to continue “looking for the good” and to what the Son of Man went through to save this world from itself.
🙂

Fabiana who lives in Ecuador and writes Fabby’s Living shared this beautiful table set for Easter for all the family and company she had coming over. Simple beauty with sweet rabbits surrounding a gilded goblet and eggs nestled into sherbet glasses.
Simple and stunning!

I am on a bit of a tablescape kick lately as I love creating beautiful table settings for you all and for my family. Here is a stunning table from Sandra over at Dinner at Eight ~ love her Fitz and Floyd Easter rabbit in it’s Easter garden! And look at that tablecloth!!!
Love the Easter grass placemats…

Sew up a storm this Easter with these adorable Easter Sewing Projects!

Michele from the Scrap Shoppe Blog shares a round-up of Easter projects that we all can make now for next year and/or put on our Pinterest save boards for next year ~ adorable!!!
And since this is French Ethereal here in an Honorable Mention for the week ~ from Stephanie at The Style Safari who is planning a trip to France in May and is making some clothes for her trip. Check out her blog for her creative clothing creations!

That’s it for this week, folks! Thank you to everyone who linked up last week and be sure to visit a few partiers while you are here and if you’ll pin my Share Your Style links as well, I send you bunny hugs through the airwaves!

 We all appreciate the love!

And just a quick reminder of the party rules:

This link party is geared towards home decor, recipes, gardening and related. I know many of you have so much to say about many other things, but here it’s always going to be a party towards life in the home.

I would appreciate a link back to your blog, too.
Thank you!  🙂

Share Your Style #204

Welcome once again to Share Your Style and this week is #204… I am Barb Chapman and welcome! Glad you are here and today I am just sharing a few features as this week has been a big push indoors to finish unboxing everything in our living room and our bedroom.

It has been a bit daunting as I am weeding through things during all of this, shipping packages to my adult children (things which belong to them plus a little Easter goodies!), and reboxing things for donations and a future garage sale. Still lots to do and I haven’t even touched my craft room yet…
😉

Queen Elizabeth rose
Here are the first blooms in my new backyard garden. I just cute these three since hail is expected tonight and I’d sure hate to lose them to the weather! They will grace our kitchen table
beautifully inside.

So let’s get to this week’s wonderful features
shall we?!

Learn how to make lamp finials with this tutorial for how to make a crystal lamp finial. It also shows you how to make your own faux crystals.
Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof made this lovely
crystal lamp finial and I can imagine how beautiful
it will look gracing one of her lamps!
